A divisional public library should aim to be inviting to serve the division as a whole, while maintaining the functional integrity of a public building. A massive decline in the use of public libraries in the last two decades is a problem that is caused by technological advancements in the field of information and data accessibility. This project aims to tackle this problem by focusing on the public character of the library, which in turn will invite more people into the library function itself. The paper also deals with the shifting nature of the public library in terms of the facilities it aims to provide to its users. By implementing design decisions generated from the context of the city of Rajshahi, this project aims to contribute to the overall development of the city and the people living in it. Md.
